Okay here I am in my new shirt! :) I felt like a dork earlier in my sewing room. I took 10 photos to get one that I liked. LOL. After all that, I still didn't smooth the back of the shirt out - the wrinkles aren't so prevalent at the bust dart, but they still exist a little "milder". What can I say - a beginning seamstress! I had a blast and will continue to sew to solidify my skills. Next is my cotton skirt using Butterick B4461. Today I'd like to sort through my lace, zippers and other trim before I cut the pattern out. We'll see how far I get. :D Hopefully I can get something up on the blog tomorrow!

Nice photo of you! And now you have a nice blouse that no one else in the world has!! I think the fitting part of sewing clothes is what's so intimidating. I'm sure if you keep forging ahead you'll really become skilled at it. I checked out a couple issues of Threads magazine yesterday at the library. They are way over my head, but at least I can enjoy looking at the fabrics, LOL.

Oh my gosh, there is so much that goes over my head in that magazine!!! (My library doesn't carry them. Grrr...)I would say a good half of it confuses me. lol I keep reading them to learn. Then I have them on hand when I apply a technique. Do you remember that Seminole Indian bag keeper I made? That was a technique I learned from Threads magazine. I do what I can and leave the rest! :)
